Linocut Printmaking
Linocut Printmaking
Learn different techniques for linocut printing and how to apply them in multiple ways. This class will focus on introducing creatives to relief printing. In this class, you will discover what basic, inexpensive supplies are needed for creating your first linocut, how to select and design an image for printing, different methods for transferring an image onto a linoleum block, carving linocut and printing a linocut. We will learn the safe carving techniques, why "a sharp tool is the safest tool", and why we never use scissors to cut printmaking paper.
